1. General information

Debatify is an application developed and operated by an independent developer. Using the application means you accept these Terms and Conditions. If you do not accept them, do not use the application.

2. Eligibility

Debatify is only for people 18 years of age or older. When you complete your profile, you must enter your real date of birth. Using the application under age is not allowed.

3. Account and sign-in

You sign in with your Google or X account. You are responsible for the activity in your Debatify account and for keeping your sign-in account secure.

4. Nature of the service

Debatify turns each day's curated news stories into debates with two sides. To take part you must choose a side, for or against; once chosen, you cannot switch sides. Arguments have a character limit, and some power-ups change that limit. Debates close at a deadline and declare a winning side. The application is recreational and should not be considered professional advice.

5. User content

You are responsible for everything you publish, including arguments, replies and direct messages. You keep ownership of your content, but you grant Debatify a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, display and distribute it inside the application, only to operate and moderate the service.

You must not publish content that is illegal, hateful, harassing, threatening, sexual or involving minors, that exposes someone's personal data without consent, that impersonates another person or organization, or that is spam or misleading.

6. Moderation and safety

You can report content, block users and mute conversations at any time. We may review reports, remove content, and suspend or close accounts that break these Terms. Arguments can be upvoted only by users who hold the same side in the debate.

7. Diamonds, purchases and power-ups

Diamonds and power-ups can be bought through Google Play or earned in the application. Purchases are processed by Google Play and are subject to its terms and refund policy. Diamonds and power-ups have no cash value, cannot be transferred or exchanged for money, and are not refundable except where the law or Google Play policy requires it. Debatify does not currently offer subscriptions.

8. Rewarded ads

Some features unlock after you watch a rewarded ad. Ads are provided by Google, and daily limits apply.

9. Data and analytics

The processing of your personal data is described in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms.

10. Service changes

The developer may modify, suspend or discontinue features of the service, and may update these Terms. We will notify you of material changes in the application. Continued use after a change means you accept it.

11. Account deletion and termination

You can delete your account at any time from the application settings. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

12. Disclaimer of liability

The developer is not responsible for any damage, loss, or harm arising from the use of Debatify, nor for user content or interactions between users. The developer is not responsible for the operation of purchases or ads managed by Google Play.

To the extent permitted by law, you waive your right to start, join or take part in a class action against the developer.
